The Science and Art of Sourcing Talent

For our first event of the year 2016, we present a conference on sourcing talent, a skill that HR professionals are expected to develop in an environment where competition is fierce to attract qualified people.

Unearth the talents and convert them to candidates. How to do sourcing? When is this relevant? Recruiting passive talent is now a crucial activity. K=Knowing that the active candidates represent only 25% of the market, can you miss out on 75% of talent? During this practical training, you can explore the science of search for profiles and the art of approaching passive candidates. This workshop provides you with tools that can be used in your short-term recruitment practice.

Our speaker:

A graduate in Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal, Sébastien Savard was involved in the establishment and development of the sourcing team for Cirque du Soleil, in addition to developing the sourcing function as well as the candidates exploration strategy at Keurig Canada.

His experiences in recruitment at RONA, Cirque du Soleil and Keurig led him to stay abreast of new trends. Early on, he rejects the approach of transactional recruitment: Why wait for the best candidate? Go get him!

Sébastien attended sourcing mandates in Europe, Asia, Austalia and the United States. During these mandates, he lectured on the topic, participated in international meetings and maintained passive candidates pipelines obtaining an annual hiring rate of 40% from  spotting candidates.

He also has extensive experience in assessing candidates behavioral mode, receiving, among others, certification following training in « Competency Modeling » and « Competency-Based Selection »  from a internationally recognized institution.

As a founding partner of Sourcinc, Sébastien wishes now to place the art and science of sourcing in the service of the majority of organizations
